Does AeroPress Steel lose significant amounts of heat due to its all-Stainless-Steel design?Updated 3 hours ago

No. In fact, AeroPress Steel retains heat better than other AeroPress coffee makers. In brewing, temperature is typically lost in two ways. First, when hot water is added and first contacts the chamber wall, then second, while the coffee is brewing during the immersion part of the process, heat is lost to the surrounding air. Due to AeroPress Steel’s unique double-wall design, less heat is absorbed by the brewing chamber when the hot water is first added, resulting in a higher initial brew temperature. The double-wall design also provides insulation, which keeps the coffee hot longer during the brew process. Note: Preheating any chamber will raise the starting brew temperature, but it does not significantly change the rate of heat loss.
